  1. Amber Fort and Palace

It is among the most desirable places to tour in Jaipur. It is an excellent example of marble and red sandstone architecture comprising the Hall of Private Audience, the Hall of Public Audience, Sukh, Niwas, and Sheesh Mahal.

It has an outstanding pink and red sandstone work renowned for its large screen wall with many windows for the royal household ladies who could see street festivities while being unnoticed from the outside. 

The Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds includes over a thousand windows adorned with complex latticework, rooms decorated with domed canopies, colorful marbles, fluted pillars with floral and lotus designs, and a courtyard with a museum.

  1. City Palace

With a blending of the great Rajasthani style of architecture, European architecture, and Mughal architecture, the City Palace stands beautifully in the center of the pink city of Jaipur.

  1. Jal Mahal

Found amid the Man Sagar Lake, the Jal Mahal is another beautiful example of an excellent Rajasthani and Islamic style of architecture. 

It is a five-storied red sandstone building with some pretty chhatris, superbly decorated rooms, corridors, and wall paintings depicting Rajasthani art’s complex. 

Tourists exploring the Jal Mahal can get a boat trip on Man Sagar Lake. The boats here are made in standard Rajasthani style.

  1. Jaisalmer Fort

Following the golden colors of the town, the Jaisalmer Fort or Sonar Quila is beautiful and among the most well-known forts in Rajasthan. Built-in 1156 AD by Raja Rawal Jaisal, it is also one of the largest forts of India.

  1. Ratangarh Fort

Found on the Agra-Bikaner Highway, the Ratangarh Fort was constructed in the 19th century by Ratan Singh and possesses impressive gateways, various monuments (usually in ruins today), and a clock tower, also known as Ghantaghar. 

The Ratangarh Fort offers a pleasant halt on your trip to Bikaner city. Enclosing the fort, you can also tour some ancient villages to engage with the renowned Rajasthani culture.

  1. Deeg Palace

Made by the Jat kings as a deluxe vacation resort, the Deeg Palace is another stunning architectural draw reflecting the Mughal architecture style. 

It is made with various royal slated rooms, ornate beams, stone slabs, carved gates and windows, and marble jalis. It is also home to a pavilion, Keshav Bhawan, which has a canal with numerous fountains.

It is one of the must-visit spots in Rajasthan after you travel to Bharatpur, including the Lohagarh Fort and Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.

  1. Chhattar Mahal or Palace of Towers

Located on a hillside, you can only access this magnificent architecture in Bundi through a sharp inclined paved road. The Palace includes two major gates – Hathi Pol possessing an old water clock and the Hazari Pol or Gate of the thousand. 

 It also contains a pavilion – the Naubat Khana, and a public conference hall – the Diwan-e-Aam. It is one of the significant heritage draws in Bundi.
